The official Cinematography Electronics CineTape AIR App is now ready to use. The App
connects the CineTape 2 and AIR Mobile 2 with iPhones, iPads and iPods. Our App is designed
with the same simplicity as our industry standard CineTape.
The measured distance is beautifully displayed in easy to read large red characters that
mimic the CineTape 2. As a reference, the set units of Feet or Meters, is shown
underneath.
Other App features include adjustable distance limits, Sensitivity and Brightness levels. The
adjustable NEAR and FAR distance limits are shown in medium size yellow numerals. To change
the NEAR or FAR limit setting, tap on the number and a popup adjustment wheel appears. Roll
the wheel to fine tune the distance limit. Tap the number again to set the distance. Both
the Near and Far settings work in a similar manner. Each can be set and switched on or off
independently. This makes it possible to preset limits and activate or deactivate them
during a shot.
The CineTape 2 Sensitivity can be changed directly from the App. Tap on the dotted line, in
the Sensitivity section, to increase or decrease the Sensitivity. Each dot represents a 5%
change. The new Sensitivity is displayed as a percentage along with the graphical dot
representation. To confirm a change, the red distance display also momentarily flashes the
changed setting.
The Brightness of the CineTape 2 is also adjustable from the App. Tap on the dotted line to
increase or decrease the CTM Brightness.
